![]() The only way to do that yourself, is to physically modify the inside of your PS2 so it always thinks the PS2's lid is closed, even when it is open, so you can switch a disc out while it is spinning without the PS2 realizing it. What you are wanting to do is to get the PS2 to run unofficial code. Here is an outline of what my guide explains in detail: To do this yourself, you can follow the steps in my "PS2 Softmodding guide" in the r/PS2 sidebar. Installing either ulaunch.elf and/or FreeMcBoot require essentially the same steps. elf files from your PS2's home screen (so you don't have to swap discs all the time, thus damaging your disc drive), as well as let you play backup PS2 games and run software to upscale your PS2's graphics to 1080i. ![]() ![]() ![]() The best way to do this, however, is actually to take it 1 step further and install FreeMcBoot, which will let you launch. As long as your PS2 slim ins't a 9xxxx series (which is written on the top of the big sticker on the bottom of your PS2) it is capable of running ulaunch.elf. ![]()
